Italian Pasta Recipes


Italian Pasta Salad Recipes
1 small can sliced olives, drained
8 oz mild cheddar cheese, cut up
8 oz mozzarella cheese, cut up
1 large cucumber, peeled and finely chopped
1/4 pound pepperoni, cut up
1/4 pound hard salami, cut up
1 16 oz. bottle Italian salad dressing
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
2 12-oz boxes dried tri-color rotini pasta
4 roma tomatoes, cup up
1/4 cup grated Parmesean cheese

Cook pasta according to package directions; rinse and drain. In a large salad bowl combine pasta, cheddar cheese, mozzarella olives, salami, cucumber, tomatoes, pepperoni, and cheese . Combine salad dressing, garlic powder, and Parmesan cheese. Pour over pasta mixture; toss until combined. Cover and chill before serving.


Italian Pasta Recipes - Salad
3 cups tri-color spiral pasta, cooked and drained (7 ozs)
1/3 cup chopped green peppers
10 small radishes, sliced
1 (2 1/4 ounce) can ripe olives, drained and sliced
1/3 cup Italian dressing
1 cup halved cherry tomatoes
1/4 cup honey crunch wheat germ

Combine all ingredients in a large bowl.
Toss gently with wooden spoon.
Cover and chill one hour.
Before serving, add additional wheat germ on top if desired.


Italian Sorbet
1 1/2 cups grapefruit juice
2 cups sugar
1/4 cup wine
1 1/2 cups orange juice
1/2 cup lemon juice
4 cups water

Make a syrup by boiling water and sugar fifteen minutes; add lemon juice, grapefruit, and orange; cool.
Strain cooled juice mixture, add wine, and freeze in an ice cream maker to a mush, using equal parts ice and salt (if using crank-style maker).
